The Month of the Sapphire

The gemstone of the month of September is the Sapphire, and what an excellent choice so fit for this time of the year.

The month of September is a time of fluctuation, when the summer weather starts to cool down and slowly lead the path for fall to come in. Its a month of changes and as change is unexpected, so are Sapphires. Unlike Diamonds, which are readily available in shape, size and color; sourcing the right Sapphire stone for a project can be an intricate challenge as they are each one of a kind.

The beauty of the sapphire lies in the variety of the gem; the colors are all unique from stone to stone, as well as the shapes. Its a diversity of tones than range from the characteristic blue, a lovely match for platinum, to a warm orange that will pair amazingly with rose gold.

During this month, I suggest you to check out all of the hues and varieties of Sapphire and find your favorite kind. At least thatll get you one step closer in the search of your perfect sapphire stone.

Recycling makes a happy bride and groom!

Recently a lovely couple came to Liza Shtromberg Jewelry to buy wedding rings.

Pave diamond white gold engagement ring

We told them they can trade in their unwanted gold and platinum jewelry and receive store credit. Their family decided to pitch in and donated a few pieces of unwanted jewelry, and one of the rings had a center diamond that we were able to use in the style the bride loved the most. We were able to modify the setting to fit the size of the diamond. With the biggest expense in a diamond ring being the center diamond, and the credit from the recycled gold, the couple was able to get their favorite styles by spending only 25% of the total cost of the rings!

And they lived happily ever after…

Create your own happy wedding ring story at Liza Shtromberg jewelry. Be green, and save green with our unwanted jewelry recycling program, and by choosing engagement and wedding rings made with 100% recycled metals and diamonds at Liza Shtromberg Jewelry. We have a new selection of solitaire styles, with complimentary his and her wedding rings.

New Hebrew and Western Wall Collections!

Born in Russia, Liza grew up in Israel and has lived in Los Angeles for the past 20 years designing jewelry.  Her unique style is as rich as her cultural background, and she is influenced by the history and culture of all corners of the earth.

Her new collection, “Hebrew”,  is the ancient name of the Jewish people, and it honors the alphabet which carries the cultural and mystical essence of the Jewish beliefs.

Additionally, Liza Shtromberg Jewelry is excited to share with you Liza’s creations from the imprint of the Kotel, the Western Wall of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem!

These collections are available  plain, customized, or with ready stamped Hebrew quotations!

See the Hebrew collection at the Skirball Cultural Center, in Audrey’s Museum Store, which is open Tuesday- Friday, 11:30am- 5pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-5pm, and is closed on Mondays.  The Skirball is a wonderful place where anyone is welcome to participate in creating and exploring a community full of awareness.  A wide array of musical performances, film screenings, theatre productions, poetry readings, classes, workshops, and children’s programs are available at the Skirball.  We recommend the Skirball to anyone who shares Liza’s passion for learning and exploring!

If you have little ones, take them to visit the nationally acclaimed Noah’s Ark at the Skirball, and participate in the archaeological dig site!  Noah’s Ark is recreated from floor to ceiling at the Skirball and is full of amazing incredibly created animals.  Kids can be a part of the Noah’s Ark tale, as they “create” a storm, feed the animals, and play in this interactive wonderland of an ark!

INITIALS: Our Newest Collection

Personalization is definitely not a new trend with jewelry, but it has seen a recent resurgence.

Necklaces, charms, earrings, bracelets, and even rings with such customization, when imprinted with the names or initials of loved ones, are a thoughtful gift or a heartfelt gesture.

When imprinted with one’s own name or initials, it is a stylish yet understated demonstration of individuality.

At Liza Shtromberg Jewelry, we are contributing to this ideal with our newest collection, Initials.

We are offering custom, handmade, stamping of charms in an assortment of styles.

In addition to custom letter stamping, we offer necklaces and earrings with an array of birthstones.  They can either be wire-wrapped alongside the charm or set within the charm itself.
